In the first two weeks of September, the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) received 654 requests for finding and tracing of assets, including 433 requests from the Ministry of Justice regarding the tracing of assets of sanctioned persons, 9 requests from foreign competent authorities, as well as requests from Ukrainian law enforcement agencies regarding criminal and unjustified assets.

During this period, ARMA found in Ukraine:

  • 355 real estate properties;

  • funds exceeding UAH 5.2 billion;
  • corporate rights worth UAH 877.8 million;

Abroad, ARMA found:

  • 13 real estate properties;
  • 3 vehicles;
  • corporate rights equivalent to UAH 207,000;
  • funds equivalent to more than UAH 1 million.

Among the cases handled by ARMA was the tracing of assets in a criminal case involving a criminal group suspected of fraud and money laundering. The offenders legalized proceeds through leasing agreements and purchase of luxury cars for themselves and their trusted associates. As a result, ARMA traced:

  • 33 luxury residential properties;
  • 27 non-residential premises;
  • 16 luxury cars;
  • 12 units of weapons;
  • 2 vessels;
  • business shares worth over UAH 16 million;

Information on the found assets has already been transferred to the competent authorities of Ukraine and relevant foreign jurisdictions for further arrest and consideration of transferring the property to ARMA’s management.
