ARMA joins EPAC/EACN initiative to develop standards for anti-corruption situation reports

14-02-2025

Representatives of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) took part in the inaugural online meeting of the «Corruption Sitrep» working group initiated by the Austrian Federal Anti-Corruption Office (BAK) within the framework of the 23rd EPAC/EACN Annual Professional Conference.

The main goal of the working group is to develop a unified template for the preparation of situational reports, which will allow organizations outside the group to effectively use this tool in the fight against corruption. The proposed recommendations and templates will be published and will serve as a model for future reports, increasing the transparency and effectiveness of anti-corruption measures.

During the event, international partners shared their experience in fighting corruption crimes, presented statistical data, disclosure of such crimes, and shared methods and approaches to detecting them. The participants discussed best practices for preparing situation reports and identified approaches and standards for their creation.

ARMA appreciates the opportunity to join this important process. Participation in the development of effective standards for situation reports not only contributes to strengthening international cooperation, but also ensures the exchange of experience between anti-corruption agencies from different countries. Situation reports are an important tool for analyzing trends in the fight against corruption, identifying risks and improving mechanisms for combating corruption.

ARMA's participation in the Corruption Sitrep initiative emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in the fight against corruption and helps to strengthen Ukraine's position as an active member of the global anti-corruption community.

In November 2023, ARMA became a member of the European Partners AgainstCorruption Network (EPAC/EACN). The decision to include the Agency was madeunanimously at the 22nd EPAC/EACN Annual Professional Conference in Dublin, Ireland.
