ARMA had a Meeting with Members of the Commission for Independent External Evaluation (Audit) of the Agency’s Performance

22-04-2026

On April 20, 2026, members of the Commission for Independent External Evaluation (Audit) of the performance of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) visited the Agency.

As part of the visit, the Commission members held a number of meetings, including with the Acting Head of ARMA, Yaroslava Maksymenko, as well as with the heads of key structural units of the Agency responsible for asset identification, tracing, and management.

During the series of meetings, the Commission presented its draft audit methodology, including approaches to assessing the Agency’s performance, the timeframe covered by the audit, and the relevant deadlines for the process. The presentation was used by ARMA to provide substantive feedback on the proposed methodology.

In addition, current organizational matters and key aspects related to the conduct of the independent external evaluation were discussed.

The assessment of the effectiveness of the structural units involved at this stage will consist of an independent, objective, and reliable analysis of whether the legal framework governing ARMA’s activities, its organization and internal mechanisms, as well as its initiatives, systems, operations, programs, and measures comply with the principles of economy, efficiency, and effectiveness; whether there are gaps in ARMA’s activities; and whether there are opportunities to improve its overall performance.

ARMA expresses its appreciation to the members of the Commission for their constructive engagement, professionalism, and comprehensive approach to the evaluation process.
