The international conference of the Council of Europe, “Enhancing Asset Recovery: Synergies within the Framework of the Additional Protocol to CETS No. 198,” was held in Strasbourg by the Committee of Experts on Criminal Asset Recovery (PC-RAC).
The event brought together key stakeholders in the field of combating economic crime - from representatives of the European Court of Human Rights and the Venice Commission to experts from INTERPOL, EUROPOL, the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO), CARIN Network and UNODC.
The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) was represented at the event by Vladyslav Zhornytskyi, Director of the Department for International Cooperation and European Integration.
The discussions focused on human rights protection in asset confiscation, cross-border cooperation in asset management, enforcement of confiscation decisions, and implementation of the Additional Protocol to the CETS Convention №198.
ARMA's participation in such international events not only reaffirms Ukraine's engagement in the global anti-corruption community — it also marks an active contribution to building a fair, effective, and modern asset recovery system.
