The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has inspected seized real estate belonging to the current General of the Russian Army Valery Kapashyn. The inspection was led by ARMA Deputy Head Stanislav Petrov.
In particular, the inspected properties included several hotel and restaurant complexes, one of the largest restaurant complexes, three residential buildings with a total area of over 800 square meters, and a shopping center. All of these assets were transferred to ARMA by court order.
How Kapashin bought up real estate in Ukraine
Valery Kapashin is a native of Poltava region who is now a general in the Russian occupation army. In March 2023, Ukrainian law enforcement officers discovered that he owned significant amounts of real estate in Poltava and the region.
According to law enforcement agencies, the racist general massively bought up real estate using funds of dubious origin and registered it in the names of his daughter, son-in-law and other close associates.
The seized property includes more than 50 thousand square meters of non-residential real estate, including shops, shopping centers, offices, etc. In addition, approximately 1,000 square meters of residential real estate and thousands of hectares of land have been transferred to ARMA. The National Agency is already planning further inspections and valuations of all seized assets to select managers on ProZorro.
The owners themselves are outside of Ukraine - according to open sources, they left the country on the eve of the full-scale invasion of Russia.
Based on the results of the inspections, ARMA specialists prepared reports containing detailed information about the assets, their components, technical condition and other important characteristics for management.
ARMA will ensure that the seized assets of traitors, criminals and the enemy work for Ukraine
