ARMA announces a competition for the selection of a manager for the assets of theIDS Ukraine group — one of the largest bottled water producers in Ukraine, whichincludes the «Morshynska» and «Myrgorodska» brands.
The competition is being held under the new rules for the management of seizedassets introduced as part of the ARMA reform. The updated approaches provide forstrengthened requirements for candidates, stricter selection criteria and additionalmechanisms for monitoring the management of strategic assets.
IDS Ukraine is one of the largest-scale and most complex assets under ARMA’smanagement. It concerns an integrated production complex with a full operationalcycle: from mineral water extraction to production, logistics and distribution ofproducts on Ukrainian and international markets.
The group’s assets were seized in 2022 due to their connection with russian oligarchMikhail Fridman, who is under sanctions imposed by Ukraine, the United States, theEuropean Union, the United Kingdom and other partner states.
«The competition regarding IDS Ukraine is an example of how the reform of seizedasset management is moving into the practical sphere. It is important for the state toensure a professional and transparent selection of a manager capable of preservingthe production potential, workforce, market positions of the enterprises and ensuringrevenues to the state budget of Ukraine. That is why, for such complex assets, therequirements for candidates and the mechanisms for management control have beenstrengthened», Acting Head of ARMA Yaroslava Maksymenko noted.
The new approaches are aimed at minimizing corruption risks, strengthening theaccountability of managers and ensuring competitive selection conditions.
As part of the reform, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved standardagreements for the management of seized assets that define the basic workingconditions for managers and the control mechanisms.
