ARMA transfers seized Russian ships to management: from now on, the state budget will receive almost 6 million UAH plus per month

03-04-2025

The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has transferred 10 seized ships owned by companies associated with the aggressor state to management. “MARINEX”, a private enterprise, became the new manager, selected through an open tender.

The key result is monthly revenues to the Ukrainian budget of over 5.7 million UAH. This is a qualitative breakthrough in approaches to managing seized assets: previously, under contracts concluded by the previous ARMA leadership, the state received only 10,000 UAH per month for each of the 9 ships. After the control checks, the new team of the National Agency, led by Olena Duma, unilaterally terminated these contracts in favor of the state's interests.

The transferred assets also include the «EMMAKRIS III» vessel, which was arrested by the decision of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv in April 2023. This is the first time this vessel has been transferred to management. The ARMA has taken all measures to ensure the safety and security of ships. This includes a ban on the vessels' departure to sea, jointly with the Shipping Administration.

ARMA will continue to deal with the issues that it has previously initiated with the NSDC, as the sale of such vessels will bring more revenues to the state budget and ensure that they are not returned to Russia.

ARMA is acting decisively and responsibly: seized assets are not just stored - they are working for the Ukrainian economy.
