ARMA Strengthens International Cooperation: Results of Participation in the Third Operational Week of Europol’s International Project «A.S.S.E.T. 2026»

Representatives of ARMA participated in the third operational week of Europol’sinternational project «A.S.S.E.T. 2026» (Asset Search & Seize EnforcementTaskforce), which resulted in the identification of new bank accounts andcryptocurrency assets abroad that had previously been unknown to the Ukrainianside.

The operational week took place at Europol Headquarters in The Hague and broughttogether representatives of competent authorities from 31 countries and leadingprivate-sector companies to work jointly on the finding, tracing and seizure of assetsobtained through criminal activity.

The event was coordinated by the European Financial and Economic Crime Centre(EFECC).

The results of the operational week once again confirmed the effectiveness ofinternational cooperation and the application of advanced investigative methods.

As a result of the work carried out, 884 bank accounts, 80 companies, 55 cryptocurrency wallets, 74 vehicles, one vessel and 44 real estate properties wereidentified. Six of the found real estate properties have a combined value exceedingEUR 5.64 million. In addition, the whereabouts of two individuals who were subjectto international search notices were established, one of whom was apprehended withthe assistance of the ENFAST network.

ARMA was represented at the event by Daryna Pavliuk and Serhii Diachuk. Over thecourse of four days, the National Agency’s specialists processed 44 internationalcases received from the competent authorities of foreign states.

As a result of this work, real estate properties and vehicles were found within theterritory of Ukraine and information was provided regarding the crossing of the stateborder by individuals who are subjects of foreign criminal proceedings.

A separate area of work concerned cooperation with private-sector representatives, coordinated by Europol. During the processing of cases initiated by ARMA, it waspossible to identify bank accounts and cryptocurrency assets abroad that hadpreviously been unknown to the Ukrainian side. The National Agency transmitted theobtained information to law enforcement authorities for further procedural actions.

Acting Head of ARMA, Yaroslava Maksymenko, emphasized the importance of theNational Agency’s participation in such international initiatives.

This format of cooperation enables the prompt exchange of information withforeign partners, the use of modern analytical tools and more effective finding ofcomplex financial and digital assets in foreign jurisdictions. The results obtainedonce again confirm the significant practical value of international cooperation in thefield of asset recovery», said Yaroslava Maksymenko.
