ARMA to replenish the Fund for Elimination of Consequences of Russian Armed Aggression by almost UAH 1.8 billion

14-03-2025

The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) is transferring almost 1.8 billion UAH of russian LLC «Royal Pay Europe» to the Fund for Liquidation of Consequences of Armed Aggression.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the ARMA's initiative to sell military bonds and transfer 1.8 billion UAH to the Fund for Liquidation of Consequences of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

This was made possible by a new mechanism for managing sanctioned assets seized in criminal proceedings. It allows the ARMA, in agreement with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, to sell military bonds purchased with seized funds and to transfer the proceeds to the state budget.

“The aggressor's funds will be used to rebuild Ukraine. It is only fair that assets associated with the aggressor country are used to restore what was destroyed as a result of Russian aggression,” said the Head of ARMA Olena Duma. “I express my sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Government for supporting our initiative. This demonstrates the unity of government agencies in their actions for the common goal of strengthening Ukraine and rebuilding it.”

Earlier, ARMA has already transferred more than 423 million UAH to the Fund for Liquidation of Consequences of Armed Aggression from the management of seized assets of LLC «Royal PAYE Europe».

ARMA is currently managing sanctioned monetary assets seized in criminal proceedings totaling over 5.5 billion UAH seized in criminal proceedings. The Agency plans to continue to fill the Fund for Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression using the mechanism approved by the Government.
