Today, July 11, 2024, a working meeting was held between Assets Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and the French Agency for the management and recovery of seized and confiscated asset (AGRASC), which opened a new stage of cooperation between Ukraine and France in the field of management of arrested and confiscated assets assets
The meeting was made possible thanks to the cooperation of ARMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ukraine in France.
The head of ARMA, Olena Duma, told colleagues from the French Agency in detail about the functional capabilities of the Ukrainian agency, and also shared the results of work over the past year. She emphasized that cooperation with AGRASC will help to improve the methods and mechanisms of the management of confiscated assets, using modern European practices.
"Currently, we are moving in the direction of improving the mechanisms for the sale of seized property abroad, including on the territory of France. We already have a number of developments and are ready to start active cooperation in the direction of legalization of decisions of Ukrainian courts in France", - Head of ARMA noted.
The General Director of AGRASC, for her part, shared information about the work of the French Agency and their interaction with state institutions. Vanessa Per assured her Ukrainian colleagues of readiness for fruitful cooperation in the matter of tracing assets, including digital assets, as well as sharing practical experience and European practices in managing seized property.
At the end of the online meeting, the parties agreed to continue dialogue and cooperation, which should significantly strengthen both institutions in the field of management and implementation of seized or confiscated assets.
