ARMA strengthens cooperation with Interpol and Europol in the field of asset tracing

Heads of ARMA’s independent structural units responsible for asset finding andtracing held a working meeting with representatives of the International PoliceCooperation Department of the National Police of Ukraine (the National CentralBureau of Interpol in Ukraine) and liaison officers of the European Union Agency forLaw Enforcement Cooperation (Europol).

During the meeting, the parties discussed practical aspects of internationalcooperation in the field of asset finding and tracing within criminal proceedings. Particular attention was paid to issues of prompt information exchange, coordinationamong competent authorities and the use of international cooperation channels toestablish the location of assets abroad.

Representatives of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Ukraine informedparticipants about cooperation procedures and the specifics of processinginternational requests. Additional Interpol and Europol tools that may be used byARMA to enhance the effectiveness of asset finding and tracing measures were alsopresented.

The International Police Cooperation Department of the National Police of Ukrainehighlighted the positive results of its long-term cooperation with ARMA, particularlyin the field of international information exchange and coordination of measures totrace assets outside Ukraine.

ARMA emphasized that further strengthening cooperation with Interpol and Europolwill contribute to enhancing the Agency’s capacity in the field of asset finding, tracing, and recovery, as well as strengthening international interagency cooperation.
