ARMA presented Ukraine’s experience at the BAMIN Regional Seminar

29-09-2025

The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) participated in the regional seminar of the Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network (BAMIN), which took place in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The event was dedicated to planning effective asset management with a focus on actions preceding the imposition of seizure.

The seminar brought together representatives of asset management offices, prosecutors, investigative bodies, and institutions from six Western Balkan jurisdictions. Participants discussed practical approaches and shared experiences in the field of asset recovery and management.

Ukraine’s practice in managing seized assets was presented by Taisia Tkachenko, Chief Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of ARMA. In her speech, she outlined the legal and procedural mechanisms of planning and seizure, as well as emphasized the importance of international cooperation, exchange of experience, and strengthening partnerships within the BAMIN network.

Background:
Since December 2018, ARMA has had observer status in BAMIN, and since September 2023, it has been a member of the Network’s Steering Committee. This allows Ukraine to take an active part in cross-border cooperation, information exchange, and the implementation of best practices in the field of managing seized and confiscated assets.
