On July 10, 2025, the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA), held a meeting with Kris Beckers, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium, Chairman and co-founder of the Belgian-Ukrainian Business Club.
During the meeting, Grigol Katamadze, Deputy Head of ARMA for European Integration, presented ARMA's priority areas of activity and outlined the Agency's main functions and powers.
Throughout the meeting, Kris Beckers, as a representative of the international business community, was informed about the functioning of the asset management system in Ukraine, including legal mechanisms for the sale of seized property, transparent sales procedures, and the potential for attracting business investment. The parties paid particular attention to discussing the prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation and supporting key ARMA initiatives related to the management of seized assets and mechanisms for their sale both in Ukraine and abroad.
Grigol Katamadze approached Mr. Beckers, Honorary Consul, with an initiative to promote cooperation with the Kingdom of Belgium, in particular in establishing contacts with the competent authorities of Belgium in order to strengthen inter-agency cooperation, as well as in informing Belgian businesses about investment opportunities in Ukraine in the field of asset management.
ARMA expresses its gratitude to Kris Beckers for his constant support of Ukraine, his active position, and his openness to cooperation.
