ARMA collects 2.2 billion UAH from the accounts of an online casino associated with representatives of the aggressor state

13-08-2024

At the request of the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office, a court decision was received on the transfer of funds in the amount of more than 2.2 billion UAH to the ARMA administration. The funds are in the accounts of companies that provide online casino services in Ukraine and are associated with russian business and capital. The national agency has already started work on writing off these funds, in particular:

  • Requests were sent to 8 commercial banks regarding the amount of funds on the accounts of the specified companies.
  • According to Article 62 of the Law on Banks and Banking Activities, the National Agency will receive answers from banks regarding the availability of appropriate amounts of funds.
  • Within three days, ARMA will take organizational measures to write off these funds and carry out management in accordance with Article 20 of the Law on the National Agency.

Therefore, the total seized funds in the management of ARMA will be replenished to almost UAH 10 billion.

Today, ARMA has already purchased Military Bonds (UDGB) worth 5.5 billion UAH, including USD 31 million. The auction for the purchase of bonds in the amount of 6.5 million EUR will be held at the beginning of September.

The result of the National Agency's management of seized funds, including the purchase of Military Bonds, in 7 months is almost 600 million UAH, which should replenish the state budget in the future.

Please note that when the seizure is removed from the asset, ARMA returns the funds to the owner with accrued interest. As an example of effective cash management: 196 million UAH of seized funds of one of the sanctioned enterprises written off by ARMA will be returned in the amount of over 242 million UAH, or 46 million UAH more than was written off, after the return of this enterprise to state ownership.

We would like to remind you that strengthening of cooperation with law enforcement agencies, ARMA is currently receiving more and more court decisions, according to which property, corporate rights, funds, etc. are transferred to the management. The national agency continues to effectively manage seized assets to ensure billions of revenues to the state budget.
