02-09-2025

The Asset Recovery and Management Agency of Ukraine (ARMA) continues to broaden its network of international partnerships in the field of asset tracing and management. In Oslo, Deputy Head of ARMA Pavlo Velykorechanin signed an interagency cooperation agreement with Økokrim — the National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime of the Kingdom of Norway.

The document enshrined the Parties’ intentions to strengthen coordination in the field of asset tracing and recovery, while providing opportunities for the prompt exchange of information, joint activities, and the implementation of best practices in the management of seized assets.

“This step reaffirms ARMA’s strategic commitment to developing international cooperation in the field of identification, tracing, and management of seized assets. Cooperation with Økokrim opens new opportunities for improving asset recovery mechanisms in the international context,” emphasized Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of ARMA.

On his part, Økokrim Director Pål Lønseth underlined: “International cooperation in confiscating criminal assets is essential to effectively combat organized crime and criminal networks. I am very pleased that we can cooperate with ARMA while supporting the Ukrainian authorities in this challenging period for their country.”

ARMA expresses its gratitude to Økokrim for constructive cooperation, institutional support, and partner solidarity with Ukraine.

The interagency agreement with Økokrim has become the tenth such agreement signed by ARMA with counterpart agencies of partner countries.
