The Memorandum lays the foundation for deepening cooperation in law enforcement, analytics, development of legislative initiatives and educational programs aimed at training future specialists in the field of management of seized assets.
The document on cooperation between the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv was signed by the Head of ARMA, Olena Duma, and the Rector of the University, Volodymyr Buhrov.
The Head of ARMA, Olena Duma, who is a graduate of Kyiv National University, emphasized the importance of this partnership:
“It is a great honor for me to sign this document here, at the University, which once gave me the solid knowledge and skills necessary for my professional development. Taras Shevchenko National University is a forge of legal professionals, a place where the legal consciousness of future lawyers who will take care of the rule of law in Ukraine is formed. I am confident that this cooperation will become an effective platform for the development of young professionals who want to change the country's legal system for the better,” emphasized Olena Duma.
Rector of the Taras Shevchenko National University Volodymyr Bugrov emphasized that the signing of the Memorandum is a logical continuation of the existing cooperation between the institutions:
“Taras Shevchenko National University always supports initiatives aimed at developing legal science and law enforcement. Our cooperation with ARMA has long had a practical dimension - our students participate in research, and our professors contribute to the development of legislative changes and provide their expert opinions at the request of ARMA. Today's signing of the Memorandum is a logical step in strengthening this partnership. We are expanding the horizons of cooperation, which will allow our students to dive even deeper into the practice of asset management and gain experience with real legal mechanisms,” said Volodymyr Bugrov.
Special attention will be paid to improving the practical component of legal education: students will have the opportunity to join ARMA's work through internships and in the future will be able to join the ARMA team.
The signing of this document is an important step in ensuring the effective functioning of the state mechanism for managing seized assets and training a new generation of lawyers who will work for the benefit of Ukraine.
