ARMA and SSU National Academy complete four-day training on asset recovery and management for law enforcement officers

04-03-2025

Four days of intensive training, real-life cases and strategic partnerships were the focus of the training “ARMA's Cooperation with Law Enforcement in Pre-trial Investigations and Asset Management”, which was held at the SSU National Academy.

About 300 participants took part in the training, including current SSU officers from all regions, cadets of the SSU National Academy, officers of the Foreign Intelligence Service and cadets of the SSU Institute for Advanced Legal Studies. The lecturers were 12 ARMA central office practitioners who presented the work of ARMA from the inside using real cases of cooperation between ARMA and the SSU.

Stanislav Petrov, Deputy Head of the ARMA's Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Office (CDTO), closed the training series with a presentation on “State Electronic Information Resources”. At the end of his report, he noted: “This training has become not just a platform for learning, but a key step towards strengthening coordination between ARMA and law enforcement agencies. I am confident that such practical trainings will help to significantly strengthen the mechanisms of effective interaction between all government agencies.”

The course of lectures was recorded and will be stored on the SSU educational platform, including 9 hours of lecture material, which was accompanied by lively discussions, analytical analysis and professional answers to topical questions.

“The uniqueness of this training is that it was based on real cases, not just theoretical knowledge. The participants gained a clear understanding of the processes of asset tracing and seizure, and the recorded lectures will be available on the SBU's educational platform,” said Vitalii Chubaievskyi, Director of the Department of Finding, Tracing and Management of Financial and Other Assets of the ARMA, who moderated the event and closed the training. He also thanked the SSU National Academy for its support and assistance in organizing the training, as well as the Head of ARMA Olena Duma for her personal assistance.

Upon completion, all participants received certificates confirming their participation in the program.

It should be reminded that during the opening ceremony, which took place on February 27 with the participation of the Head of ARMA Olena Duma and the Rector of the SSU Academy Andrii Cherniak, the creation of a joint training manual was announced. It will become the basis for training operatives and investigators working with criminal assets.
