ARMA and the State Security Department of Ukraine Unite Efforts in the National Interest

The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and the State Security Department of Ukraine (SSD) have signed a Cooperation Agreement.

The agreement provides for exchange of experience and information necessary to ensure the security of foreign delegations and representatives of international organizations visiting Ukraine, including those invited by ARMA. It also covers the protection of ARMA officials in the course of performing their official duties.

“We understand that today ARMA is in the crosshairs of those who do not want to lose illegally acquired property. Officials who stop corruption and ensure billions in revenues for the state must be protected,”
said Oleksii Morozov, Head of the State Security Department of Ukraine.

The need for such cooperation is driven by the challenges ARMA faces, including pressure, threats, and obstruction from owners of seized assets — many of whom are traitors, collaborators, or suspects in criminal proceedings.

“ARMA enforces court decisions and returns stolen assets to the state. But those who are used to living off what was looted will go to any lengths to protect their interests. That is why the support of SSD is such an important signal: the state stands behind those who fight for justice,” emphasized ARMA Head Olena Duma.
