Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has urgently appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) and the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BES) to re-seize the cigarette production line that was transferred to ARMA for sale. The reason for this was today's decision of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court to cancel the seizure and oblige the owner to return the property.
The re-imposition of the seizure is critical, as ARMA has already begun preparations for the sale of the asset:
- Conducted an inspection of the equipment
- Prepared the necessary tender procedures and documentation
- The decision of the commission for the competitive selection of legal entities to sell the seized assets selected the organizer of the auction, with whom ARMA has entered into an agreement. The organizer is currently conducting an independent valuation of the asset.
ARMA is taking all necessary measures to protect the public interest and preserve the seized property, which may be a source of compensation for the state.
The Agency is currently awaiting an official response from the PGO and is ready to provide all necessary information to law enforcement agencies.
