10-03-2025

The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) continues to expand its partnership with the anti-corruption civil society sector. Thus, the Head of ARMA Olena Duma and the Head of the NGO “UA Experts” Serhii Nizhynskyi signed a memorandum of cooperation, which opens up new prospects in the fight against corruption and the implementation of systemic reforms.

“This agreement is another step towards strengthening transparency, integrity and efficiency in the management of seized assets. Cooperation with the anti-corruption community will increase the level of public trust in government processes and contribute to greater openness of ARMA's activities,” said the Head of ARMA Olena Duma.

The signing of the memorandum defines priorities for joint activities, including expert, scientific and research assistance in implementing reforms. The focus of the cooperation is also on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the provisions of the Government's Strategy and Action Plan, as well as the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.

Sergiy Nizhynsky, Head of the NGO “UA Experts”, said: “It is important that within the framework of cooperation we will promote the development of the rule of law and anti-corruption policy, harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU norms, support of law enforcement agencies, courts and specialized institutions. The format of cooperation is specified in the Charter of our NGO, which provides for expert support to five anti-corruption organizations, including NABU, SBI, NAPC, Anti-Corruption Court and ARMA.”

The National Agency highly appreciates the contribution of civil society organizations to the development of a democratic, transparent and accountable state system. Through this cooperation, ARMA will receive additional expert support and analytical insights that will help implement best practices in asset management.

The signing of this memorandum is another important step in the joint fight against corruption, strengthening the rule of law and developing effective public administration.
