On May 26–28, Vienna hosted a meeting of the Working Group of Governmental Experts on Technical Assistance under the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime. ARMA was represented by Vladislav Zhornitsky, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration.
The meeting presented a unique Ukrainian model of social reuse of confiscated assets. It provides for the allocation of proceeds from the sale of seized property to socially important needs.
ARMA has already transferred 2.3 billion UAH to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. These funds are used to restore infrastructure, build protective structures, residential facilities, and healthcare facilities.
Participation in the meeting allowed ARMA to deepen dialogue with international partners and present Ukraine's vision for strengthening institutional accountability and effective asset management.
The agency continues to actively fulfill its international legal obligations and contribute to strengthening global mechanisms to combat organized crime.
