Acting Head of ARMA Yaroslava Maksymenko spoke during the international forum United by Mining – 2026 about the Agency’s role in preserving the economic potential of seized assets.
In the context of the full-scale war, removing Russian influence from Ukraine’s economy is a matter of our resilience and survival. Assets linked to the aggressor state and persons acting in its interests must not remain an instrument of economic influence on Ukraine.
At the same time, it is important that such assets do not lose their economic value and that resources are not extracted from the assets while judicial and other legal proceedings are ongoing. ARMA’s task is to ensure their effective management, preserve business activity, jobs and revenues to the state budget.
This process must be carried out with unconditional compliance with the lawfulness of procedures and protection of rights. After all, the strength of state institutions lies not only in their ability to counter Russian economic influence, but also in doing so transparently and lawfully.
