At the request of the Kyiv District Prosecutor’s Office, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) found assets of officials who, abusing their official position, systematically misappropriated budget funds.
According to the investigation, the management of one of the municipal enterprises in Kyiv Oblast, over a prolonged period, unjustifiably accrued wages to persons who were in fact absent from the workplace and did not perform their official duties. The officials embezzled the accrued funds.
Specialists of ARMA’s Department for the Finding and Tracing of Financial and Other Assets conducted a comprehensive analysis of the suspects’ property status, using state registers and banking databases.
As a result, the following assets were found:
- land plots in Kyiv Oblast;
- automobiles;
- residential real estate;
- funds in bank accounts.
All the collected information has already been sent to law-enforcement agencies to initiate seizure. The further fate of the assets will be determined by the court in accordance with applicable legislation.
