ARMA co-organizes and initiates panel discussions at the IV lInternationa Legal Forum EU - Eastern Partnership for the first time

On May 29-30, 2025, the IV International Legal Forum EU - Eastern Partnership, one of the key international platforms for the professional legal community, will beheld in Warsaw, Poland. The event will bring together representatives of governmentagencies, anti-corruption institutions, human rights organizations, attorneys, academics, as well as business representatives and international experts.

ARMA will not only participate in the event, but also co-organize it, initiating twopanel discussions on extremely relevant and important topics:

Challenges and strategies for the management and sale of assets derived fromcorruption and other crimes in the current circumstances”.
Improving the effectiveness of finding and recovering assets derived fromcorruption and other crimes: the role and mission of the Legal Profession inasset tracing and recovery process”.  

The discussions will focus on strategies and methods of effective tracing, assetmanagement, and mechanisms to improve the efficiency of asset recovery fromcorruption and other crimes.

The Head of ARMA, Olena Duma, and representatives of the Agency will bespeakers at the panel discussions. In addition, the Agency has invited the heads ofsimilar ARO/AMO authorities from around the world, including the European Union, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States ofAmerica and Central Asia, to participate in the panel discussions.

The discussions will be moderated by Ms. Jill Thomas, Senior Vice President ofGovernment Relations at Asset Reality, Asset Recovery Advisor to the BAMIN Secretariat, and Mr. Janis Bordans, Attorney at Law, Vice Prime Minister (2019-2022) and Minister of Justice of Latvia (2012-2014 and 2019-2022).

ARMA considers participation in the Forum as an important opportunity to establisheven closer international cooperation, develop partnerships and share practices. Weare convinced that these discussions will be an important step towards strengtheningtransparency, accountability and efficiency in asset management both in Ukraine andat the international level.
