An online session of regional asset recovery networks ARINs' Talk was held, bringing together contact points from the CARIN, RRAG, ARIN-AP, ARIN-SA, ARINEA and ARIN-CA networks. The Asset Recovery and Management Agencywas represented at the event by the Head of the Department of Finding, Tracing andRecovery of Assets in Foreign Jurisdictions, Anna Makarenko.

Participants discussed practical mechanisms of international cooperation in assettracing cases: the role of contact points, the speed of information exchange and thebalance between informal communication and formal legal procedures. Cases fromArgentina and Africa were reviewed as real examples of dismantling transnationalcriminal groups and seizing assets across different jurisdictions.

The event confirmed that effective combat against financial crimes is based oncoordination, trust between partners and the ability to act swiftly within theframework of international law.

For ARMA, participation in ARINs' Talk is an opportunity to strengthen directcontacts with foreign partners and to enhance the effectiveness of asset tracing andrecovery.
