Representatives of ARMA participated in the annual General Assembly of theCamden Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network (CARIN), held in Riga (Latvia). Theevent is an annual platform for exchanging experience among representatives ofjurisdictions and international networks in the field of finding, tracing, seizure andrecovery of assets.

Ukraine was represented by the Head of the Department of Finding, Tracing andRecovery of Assets in Foreign Jurisdictions, Anna Makarenko, and the Head of the Department for Finding and Tracing of Assets of Sanctioned Persons and Other Entities that Pose a Threat to the National Interest of Ukraine, Maksym Pasik.

As part of the Assembly, participants discussed practical issues of internationalcooperation, current challenges in the field of asset tracing and recovery, includingwork with virtual assets and the use of artificial intelligence in financialinvestigations. ARMA representatives also took part in a panel discussion on thetracing, seizure and management of crypto-assets, presenting the Agency’s practicalexperience.

The ARMA delegation also held bilateral meetings with representatives of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, France, Slovakia and MENA-ARIN. The parties discussedpractical aspects of cooperation and exchanged experience in the international tracingand recovery of assets.
