ARMA secures UAH 712,000 for the state budget from the management of Novoyavorivsk power grids

28-07-2025

The National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) reports that, for the first time since the Novoyavorivsk power grids were transferred to its management in 2020, this seized asset has begun to generate income.

Naftogaz Teplo LLC, which acts as the asset manager under an agreement with ARMA, reported net income from economic activities for the first half of 2025. The total amount is UAH 950.25 thousand, of which UAH 712.69 thousand will be transferred to the State Budget of Ukraine after the payment of taxes, manager remuneration, and management-related expenses.

During ARMA’s management, the company not only ensured the uninterrupted operation of this strategic asset but also succeeded in generating income from its operation for the first time—an unprecedented result for the entire period the facility has been under seizure.

“We are systematically changing our approach to asset management. ARMA no longer allows strategic enterprises to stand idle or operate at a loss. Every hryvnia that goes to the state budget from seized assets is the result of effective oversight and the Agency’s principled position,” - emphasized Olena Duma, Head of ARMA.

Effective supervision by ARMA’s Asset Management Performance Monitoring Department played a key role in this success. Thanks to systematic oversight and the review of management strategies, the long-standing practice of loss-making seized assets is being reversed—step by step—and assets that previously generated only losses are now beginning to bring revenue to the State Budget of Ukraine.
