The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), collaborating with “Ukrzaliznytsia” employees, has located and started inspection of 434 railway cars, which were transferred into the National Agency`s management in 2022.
ARMA received these assets on the basis of a ruling of the investigating judge of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv on May 11, 2022 (case No. 757/10857/22-k). Last year, the court seized railroad cars owned by companies from the russian federation and belarus.
The inspection of the seized assets is expected to be comleted within a month. During this period, experts will determine the type, characteristics, and technical condition of the railcars.
Subsequently, the Agency will promptly initiate an appraisal of this property and launch a competition to select managers of the first lot - 434 out of more than 23,000 railcars owned by resident companies from the russian federation and belarus.
It is important to emphasize that the strategic goal of managing seized property is to ensure systematic revenues to the state budget during times of war.
