ARMA strengthens international cooperation at Warsaw Disputes Days 2025

Representatives of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) took part inthe prestigious international forum Warsaw Disputes Days, which took place in Warsaw on April1-4, 2025. The event brought together leading experts from different countries to discuss topicalissues of international asset recovery, cross-border investigations and the fight against financialcrimes.

Ukrainian specialists, including Daryna Pavliuk, Head of the Asset Recovery Department inInternational Jurisdictions, and Kristina Savicheva, Head of the International CooperationDepartment of ARMA, demonstrated their expertise at two strategically important paneldiscussions. The first of them - “Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Disputes” - was devoted torevolutionary technologies in the field of digital assets and innovative approaches to theirtracing. At the second panel - “Fighting Fraud: A Multi-Jurisdictional Approach to Recovery” - ARMA experts shared the unique Ukrainian experience of international investigations andenforcement of court decisions in complex cross-border cases.

In 2024, 7,835 requests from law enforcement agencies were processed. 146,000 assets wereidentified - 58% more than in 2023, while processing more than 13,000 requests from lawenforcement agencies. ARMA received fewer requests, but the qualitative indicator of thenumber of assets found is twice as high. The identified assets include real estate, land plots andvehicles both in Ukraine and abroad. This was one of the key topics of discussion at theconference.

It is worth reminding that the National Agency is integrated into key international asset recoverynetworks, including CARIN (Camden Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network), ARIN (Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network), as well as cooperation with EUROPOL and INTERPOL.

Participation in Warsaw Disputes Days 2025 opens up new opportunities for strengtheningpartnerships between ARMA and leading international institutions, as well as private experts inthe field of asset recovery, which is of strategic importance for strengthening Ukraine's capacityto fight corruption and economic crime.
