23-04-2024

Today, on April 23, the relevant draft law No. 10397 was generally supported by 299 MPs.

From now on, the National Agency will be able to use the seized foreign currency funds to buy military bonds.

Previously, Head of ARMA Olena Duma said that the prompt adoption of this draft law "will allow us [ARMA] to significantly expand our ability to fill the state budget and increase funding for defence projects".

As of 2023, the total amount of Military Bonds on ARMA's securities account was 3,602,934 pieces worth UAH 3.701 billion. Income from them amounted to UAH 195.86 million.

Currently, after redemption, ARMA has 2,378,842 military bonds worth UAH 2.465 billion on its securities account.

As a reminder, Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) is the only central executive body of Ukraine authorised to purchase military bonds.
