As part of the sixth plenary meeting of the GlobE Network, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, the ARMA delegation conducted a productive bilateral meeting with representatives of the UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA), the Supreme Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates.
The parties discussed opportunities for enhanced cooperation within the framework of the GlobE Network, with a focus on the swift exchange of information and coordination of efforts in transnational investigations.
Special attention was given to a specific criminal proceeding involving a person suspected of illicit enrichment, whose assets, according to intelligence, are located in the United Arab Emirates. Representatives of the UAEAA confirmed their readiness to assist in this case and expressed interest in strengthening long-term cooperation with Ukraine in the areas of financial accountability and anti-corruption.
The Head of the ARMA, Pavlo Velykorechanin noted:
“We highly appreciate the readiness of our colleagues from the UAE Accountability Authority for practical cooperation. Meetings like this serve as a strong example of how anti-corruption efforts can be translated into concrete action — in asset recovery, the protection of state interests, and the strengthening of global trust in the mechanisms of justice. For ARMA, such partnerships are critically important in the context of full-scale aggression against Ukraine and the urgent need to reinforce our country's economic security.
