The IV Anti-Corruption Forum of the Ukrainian Bar Association, «Practice of Anti-Corruption Justice and Specifics of Court Proceedings», took place.
A representative of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes, Bohdan Koval, in his speech emphasized the importance of international cooperation in asset recovery. He also noted that the effectiveness of this process depends on a number of factors: adherence to the rule of law, consistency of legal procedures across different jurisdictions, and systematic cooperation with international partners.
Key challenges in international cooperation were also outlined. In particular, the length of procedures within foreign jurisdictions, the complexity of recognition of court decisions, and limited access to procedural information, which affects the speed of asset recovery.
Participants emphasized the need to strengthen international cooperation and develop effective legal mechanisms in the asset recovery process.
ARMA continues active participation in professional events aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the state’s anti-corruption policy.
