The Head of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), OlenaDuma, took part in a broad discussion “Social Dialogue as a Basis for Good Governance: International Standards and European Experience”.
The event was held at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv at the initiative of the National Mediation and Reconciliation Service. The discussion was also attended by Galyna Tretiakova, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy, Volodymyr Buhrov, Rector of the Kyiv National University, MaciejJanczak, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, Aida Lindmaye, Director of the ILO Office in Ukraine, and heads of national social dialogue platforms.
The discussion emphasized the importance of
- effective cooperation between the government, employers and social partners
- social justice
- decent working conditions
ARMA's participation in the event is an implementation of practical steps under the recently signed memorandum between ARMA and the NMCSU, which aims to promote decent work standards, invest in human resources and improve labor market governance in Ukraine.
“Given the functions of the National Agency, the selection of managers for seized assets, which results in job creation and tax payments, ARMA is not only a partner, but also an effective subject of national-level dialogue,” said Olena Duma.
