During an online meeting with representatives of the European Commission, the Head of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), Olena Duma, emphasized that ARMA supports the transformation processes envisaged by the new legislative changes. And the legislative changes initiated by ARMA directly reflect this.
“There are no questions about the need to strengthen public and external control, unblock corporate rights management, and the strictest possible rules for the selection of the Head of the National Agency and deputies. The only question is the procedure for effective management of seized assets. The draft law No. 12374-D needs to be finalized taking into account the proposals of those who face challenges in the management of seized assets on a daily basis,” said the Head of ARMA.
Olena Duma added that it is necessary to ensure maximum transparency of all processes and, as a result, Ukraine and the authorities will work under this Plan, both to gain efficiency and to bear responsibility.
