ARMA delegation headed by Olena Duma is actively participating in the international conference “Asset Declaration - Unification, Digitalization, Control”. The event, organized by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Republic of Poland, brought together leading experts from anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies of the European Union.

Within the framework of the conference, Olena Duma held a series of meetings with foreign colleagues, in particular with Jacek Bilewichem, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Poland.

Among the issues discussed were cooperation between ARMA and the Polish Prosecutor's Office in the context of ensuring effective execution of international requests for legal assistance.

“ARMA is currently actively working to return illegally transferred assets to the state. Poland is a reliable friend and partner of Ukraine. Having specific cases on which we can already cooperate, I am confident that we can bring joint results to our countries - to demonstrate the unity of anti-corruption institutions and readiness to fight global corruption by bringing criminals to economic responsibility,” said the Head of ARMA during the meeting.

The Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Poland expressed his readiness to deepen cooperation with the National Agency, assuring that Poland is interested in providing comprehensive support to ARMA's initiatives in the field of detection and recovery of illegally withdrawn assets.

Olena Duma also emphasized ARMA's initiative to amend Article 545 of the Criminal Procedure Code. This will allow ARMA to directly apply to foreign authorities with requests for international legal assistance (MLA) in the field of asset management. This approach can significantly speed up the process of returning funds to the state.

Among the meetings held, the Head of ARMA also had an informative conversation with the Head of the Military Counterintelligence Service of the Republic of Poland, Jarosław Strożyck. Details of the meeting were not disclosed.
