Within the framework of the IV Legal Forum in Warsaw, the Head of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency Olena Duma signed an international interagency agreement with the Head of the Agency for the Management of Seized and Confiscated Assets of the Republic of Albania (AAPSK) - Ms. Risena Xhaja.
The signed document provides for the exchange of experience in asset tracing and management, the development of joint solutions for the return of assets transferred outside the jurisdictions, as well as the creation of platforms for the exchange of information on the management of seized property.
"In times of war, we are ready to get involved quickly, act decisively and exchange information for the sake of a common goal - the return of assets for the benefit of states and citizens. And the signed agreement will only strengthen our cooperation," said Olena Duma.
"From the first day I took office, we started working on signing this agreement, as it is important for us to establish cooperation with Ukraine. I am confident that this Agreement is an important step in building strong cooperation between the two institutions for the benefit of our countries," emphasized Risena Xhaja.
The signing of this document is another step in building a global anti-corruption coalition: The agreement with AAPSK is the eighth international interagency agreement that ARMA has concluded over the past year. Another 20 agreements are currently being finalized.
ARMA continues to expand the range of international partnerships, as it is through joint efforts that the effective management of assets seized as a result of criminal activity can be ensured and returned to the benefit of states and citizens.
