The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia» held a working meeting to discuss key issues of managing almost 18 thousand seized railcars, which are currently in commercial use by UZ.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of these railcars, the possibility of their effective use and possible economic results for the state.

It is worth noting that a significant part of the seized railcars is currently not used and does not bring revenues to the state budget. When they are transferred to management, this part of the cars will directly generate revenues to the budget through the guarantee payment.

ARMA representatives also raised the issue of holding a tender to select a manager and invited UZ representatives to participate in the tender.

As a reminder, the deadline for market consultations, which the agency held to increase transparency of the asset transfer process and ensure favorable conditions for both the state and potential managers, has expired today.

We emphasize once again that the approval by the Parliament of the draft law No. 11009 initiated by the Agency opens up opportunities for the simplified use of railway cars during the war, which will help support Ukraine's defense capabilities.
