Education in the field of anti-corruption is crucial for fostering zero tolerance to corruption among young people. The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and State University of Trade and Economics State (SUTE) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The document was signed by Head of ARMA Olena Duma and Rector of SUTE Anatoliy Mazaraki.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation in educational, scientific and innovative activities. In particular, the university will develop a special new course on asset recovery and management in Ukraine based on ARMA's activities. It will include lectures and seminars by ARMA specialists for students.
“The anti-corruption field always needs young and motivated professionals who do not just not tolerate corruption, but are ready to fight it. ARMA is the body that shapes Ukraine's policy in the field of tracing and management of seized assets. Training future professionals in this field is an important element of such processes. This memorandum is not just a document, it is the foundation for the development of a new generation of asset management professionals. I am grateful to SUTE Rector Anatoliy Mazaraki and other university representatives for their openness and willingness to create innovative educational opportunities for young people in this important field,” said Head of ARMA Olena Duma.
“The results of ARMA's work over the past year are impressive. Today, ARMA's effective work brings billions of dollars to the budget and contributes to the defense capability of Ukraine. I am confident that the signing of this memorandum and the introduction of a new educational course based on ARMA's experience will further strengthen the asset recovery and management in our country,” said Rector of SUTE Anatoliy Mazaraki.
ARMA is actively involved in educational processes in Ukrainian higher education institutions so that young Ukrainians know how the National Agency works and can join its team in the future. Earlier, ARMA signed a memorandum with the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
