On 2 September 2026, ARMA held an open strategic discussion entitled “ARMA Reform and State Asset Recovery Policy: Coordination in Countering Russian Influence and Corruption”.

The event was attended by representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, law enforcement agencies, the judiciary, Ukraine’s defence forces and key state institutions.

The participants discussed the entire asset management cycle – from finding and seizure to management and sale. The main focus was on preserving the economic value of assets at every stage.

Acting Head of ARMA Yaroslava Maksymenko stressed that effective work with assets requires clear cooperation among all state authorities.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Sobolev emphasised the importance of supporting Ukrainian businesses that continue to operate amid the war, as well as the need to combine the promptness of decisions with the transparency of procedures.

During three strategic sessions, the participants considered issues related to the management of operating enterprises, the selection of managers, the sale of complex assets, the international tracing of property and work with crypto-assets.

Practical ARMA cases were also discussed separately. The IDS Ukraine assets (“Morshynska”) have reached the final stage – the selection of a new manager is expected. ARMA also continues its work regarding the Royal Romance yacht in cooperation with the Croatian side, as well as other assets linked to corrupt and Russian businesses.

The key task of ARMA is to ensure the preservation of the economic value of seized assets and their effective use in the interests of the state and society.
