Following the decision of the Dniprovskyi District Court of Kyiv, and upon the request of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, a vessel affiliated with the russian federation and seized in the waters of the Danube River has been transferred to ARMA for disposal.
We are grateful to Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol for their principled stance and efficient cooperation in this case.
These joint efforts are aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s national security and restoring justice. It is worth noting that this initiative was previously launched together with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the State Service for Maritime and Inland Waterway Transport and Shipping of Ukraine in a statement addressed to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
In addition, this mechanism is already reflected in the draft law, authored by the President of Ukraine, which provides for the transfer of such russian assets to ARMA for disposal.
We work for the benefit of the state together with all relevant agencies to direct the proceeds from the sale of seized assets towards defense needs and the procurement of weapons to counter the russian aggressor.
Each seized asset of the aggressor and its accomplices that is sold is a step towards our common Victory.
