I know how to make decisions.
I have written a letter of resignation from my position as Head of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes and ask the Government to accept it.
Today, the law on strengthening the institutional capacity of ARMA officially came into force.
That is why it is important to do this on this particular day.
My team and I have been working towards a real transformation of the Agency for a long time, starting in 2023. The Agency, which had a very negative reputation and a poor efficiency ratio, has finally begun to show results: billions in revenue to the state budget, transparent mechanisms of operation through Prozorro and Prozorro.Sales, maximum openness to the media and society, expansion of international cooperation, finding of all assets, and the launch and beginning of the modernization of the Register of Seized Assets pursuant to rulings.
As of today, all these changes are finally officially enshrined in Ukrainian law. I began this term by building a strong professional team — the driving force behind change. We did it together, ensuring an effective law and preventing unconstitutional provisions from being included in it.
This is all the result of the work of a large team of professionals, and I am grateful to every chief specialist, head of division, department, and ARMA unit, as well as my deputies, for their dedicated work for the state. You are examples of dignified, honest, and professional civil servants. Two years ago, no one would have been able to decipher the abbreviation ARMA.
Today, ARMA is an economic weapon against enemies and criminals!
Today, ARMA is holding the line!
Today, ARMA ranks first in the world in asset Recovery!
Today, ARMA is not a burden on business or a drain on the budget, but a source of revenue from seized assets.
An international audit of the National Agency is coming up. This is a crucial step toward further strengthening ARMA's work. I have signed a statement to ensure that it is conducted independently.
Appreciating all my deputies, I believe that the government will appoint as acting Head of ARMA someone who will handle this issue most harmoniously and ensure proper support for the international audit and the effective work of the National Agency for the period of the new competition for the position of ARMA Head.
I believe that the upcoming competition will ensure a worthy continuation of the results achieved by our team.
Today, I will cross the threshold of ARMA, leaving my last contribution to the state in this position on my last working day: +16 million UAH to the state budget from the management of Medvedchuk's seized pipeline.
I am convinced that the foundation I have laid is solid, just like the team. I sincerely wish them to keep up the good work!
My mission here is complete. I hope to see the same and even better results.
Glory to Ukraine!
