Acting Head of ARMA Yaroslava Maksymenko will take part in the 17th session ofthe Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Prevention, as well as the 17th session of the Implementation Review Group of the UN Convention againstCorruption, which will take place on 18–22 May 2026 in Vienna (Republic ofAustria).
The Ukrainian delegation will also include representatives of the National Agency onCorruption Prevention (NACP), the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine(NABU) and the Office of the Prosecutor General.
During the event, participants will discuss the functioning and further stages ofimplementation of the UN Convention against Corruption Implementation ReviewMechanism, as well as the financial and organizational aspects of the Conference ofthe States Parties. Special attention will be paid to the process of peer review of statesregarding compliance with UN anti-corruption standards.
In addition to the official program, thematic working meetings and bilateralnegotiations are planned with representatives of foreign jurisdictions, internationalorganizations and civil society.
ARMA’s participation in the UN meetings is aimed at strengthening internationalcooperation in the field of finding, tracing and management of assets derived fromcorruption and other crimes. The main goal of the Agency is to deprive criminals oftheir economic base and ensure the effective recovery of illegally withdrawn assets toUkraine, as well as to attract international technical assistance.
