The Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), Olena Duma, took part in a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain. ARMA's invitation to this important event is yet another indication of the growing international recognition of the National Agency.
Recently, the Head of ARMA met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Mr. Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Hagu, at ARMA. During the meeting, it was agreed to establish direct contact with the Asset Recovery and Management Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Spain.
ARMA's international cooperation is already yielding concrete results: The National Agency is awaiting a legalized decision of a Ukrainian court to transfer immovable seized property located in Spain to ARMA for management. This cooperation opens up new opportunities for the exchange of experience and improvement of mechanisms for managing seized property located abroad.
The Head of the National Agency expressed her sincere gratitude to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Mr. Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Haga, for the invitation and warm welcome. This event was an excellent opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss further steps in cooperation between Ukraine and Spain in the field of asset management.
ARMA will continue to develop international cooperation to effectively perform its functions and strengthen Ukraine's position in the global system of combating corruption and economic crime.
