The Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine is investigating criminal proceedings regarding embezzlement and misappropriation of other people's property (pledged property) through abuse of authority. According to the criminal proceedings, the amount of damage caused is over UAH four billion.

Pursuant to the investigation's request, Department of Information and Analytical Support for Asset Finding and Tracing of ARMA conducted a number of measures to trace the assets of the persons involved in the case.

According to the Deputy Head of the ARMA, the National Agency staff conducted a number of activities and identified several countries where the suspects' property is located. A number of international requests were sent to these countries.

"We have already confirmed that the defendants in the criminal proceedings have movable property and a share in the authorised capital of a foreign company," said Pavlo Velykorechanin.

He added that the information on the found assets was sent to law enforcement bodies for further seizure.
