ARMA traces assets of traitors-collaborators conducting business in occupied territories

Pursuant to a request from the Security Service of Ukraine, the ARMA has found assets of individuals and legal entities that carried out illegal economic activities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, causing large-scale damage to the state.

The pre-trial investigation established that after the armed aggression by the terrorist state russia, the citizens of Ukraine continued to carry out economic activities in cooperation with illegal authorities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, they engaged in wholesale trade of agricultural products. By financing and paying taxes in the occupied territories, Ukraine suffered losses in particularly large amounts.

Employees of ARMA`s Asset Finding and Tracing Department have analysed the amount of information on beneficial owners and controlled persons, as well as the availability of other assets in their possession, using information and reference systems, registers and databases.

According to Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of ARMA, the Agency's staff found the following assets belonging to the suspects:

  • non-residential real estate - 16;
  • residential real estate - 1;
  • agricultural machinery and components - 30;
  • agricultural products - 4,114,252 kg of grain;
  • other property (household) - 2;
  • land plots - 8;
  • automotive transport - 12;
  • shares in authorised capital - UAH 19,100;
  • Animals (number of cows) - 145.

The ARMA forwarded the data to the SSU for appropriate action, in particular, to apply to the court to seize the identified assets.
