In continuation of close cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office, ARMA found and traced assets hidden abroad by a traitorous ex-MP and former member of the pro-russian party Opposition Platform for Life (OPFL).
"Employees of the Asset Finding and Tracing Department of ARMA continued their work on tracing the assets of a well-known collaborator. We prepared and sent 2 international requests to the competent foreign authorities. According to the received responses, hidden assets were found and traced," said Pavlo Velykorechanin, Deputy Head of ARMA.
ARMA has forwarded the obtained information to the Prosecutor General's Office for seizure and subsequent confiscation of the assets.
In addition, ARMA has already traced the ex-MP's property in Ukraine, including residential and non-residential real estate, land plots, vehicles, weapons and much more.
Due to the efforts of ARMA, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Main Investigation Department of the SSU consolidated the criminal proceedings.
As a reminder, following ARMA's initiative, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine improved the procedure for selling seized assets and introduced the possibility of selling them abroad.
Relevant amendments were made to Government Resolutions No. 719 and No. 558.
According to the new rules, all sales of seized property are carried out exclusively on the Prozorro.Sale electronic platform and in accordance with European legislation.
