18-06-2024

Today, on June 18, a meeting of the Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was held under the chairmanship of Anastasia Radina, which was also attended by Head of ARMA Olena Duma and Deputy Head of the National Agency Pavlo Velykorechanin.

During the session, two draft laws of Ukraine concerning the management of seized assets with features of cultural property were considered:

- №11280 - regarding the transfer of cultural property into management

- №11280-1 - regarding the peculiarities of managing cultural property and other assets

Head of ARMA supported the amendments proposed by draft law 11280-1, pointing out that this draft law more widely regulates the procedure of managing certain assets.

"The proposed mechanism by Anastasia Radina fully complies with the current challenges and problems that the Agency faces on a daily basis. Therefore, ARMA supports the adoption of draft law 11280-1 and calls on MPs to support the legislative initiative of the Head of the Committee," said Olena Duma.

Following the discussion of these draft laws, the Members of Ukrainian Parliament - members of the Committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to include them in the agenda of the tenth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation and, following the results of the first reading, to adopt the draft law
Reg. N° 11280-1 as a basis and in general.
