Today, June 21, in Uzhhorod city, employees of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zakarpattia Region discussed further steps to exchange information regarding financial investigations and asset recovery.
The meeting was held with the participation of the deputy chiefs of the State Security Service in the Zakarpattia region, Ivan Yovenko and Vitaliy Keda, as well as employees of investigative and operational units of the police.
According to Head of the Asset Finding and Tracing Department ARMA, Vitalii Chubaievskyi, cooperation and coordination of ARMA's joint actions with law enforcement agencies is paramount in the work of the Agency.
"It is law enforcement officers on the ground who know more about what is happening in their region, so it is important that ARMA officers work with the police on the ground. High-quality interaction with the Cyber Police Department has already been established. From now on, ARMA will strengthen cooperation with the police of Zakarpattia, so that the monetary assets and property of criminals who try to hide them are used for the benefit of the state," said Head of the Asset Finding and Tracing Department ARMA, Vitalii Chubaievskyi.
He emphasized that at the request of law enforcement officers, ARMA searches for criminally obtained assets, therefore interaction between law enforcement agencies and ARMA is key in such work.
