The chairman of the USUBC executive committee - the Director of Global Business Development and Special Projects of "Amsted Rail Company" Eric Luhmann noted that currently American business is interested in investing in the Ukrainian economy through the management of seized assets, which are exhibited at open ARMA competitions. However, participation in competitions by representatives of foreign companies often ends unsuccessfully due to the legal norm that obliges foreign companies to have a representative office in Ukraine.
The Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) Olena Duma reported that Agency interested in attracting effective managers to preserve seized assets and their effective work to increase state revenues through quality management.
"We will are initiate changes to the legislation on giving foreign companies the opportunity to submit applications for participation in our transparent Competitions for the selection of a manager of seized property," - said the Head of ARMA.
At the same time, Olena Duma noted that currently ARMA cannot effectively manage part of the assets due to another legal norm, which requires the permission of the property owner to manage this asset. This issue can be resolved by approving draft law 10069, which is currently in the parliament. The Head of ARMA one more time drew the attention of foreign partners to the fact that the legislative regulation of unblocking the management of assets of the russian federation made it impossible to multiply the mass of lawsuits of Russian oligarchs in European courts.
The partners are interested in further cooperation with ARMA.
