According to the investigation conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, members of an organized criminal group, under the cover of supplying drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, seized funds and property belonging to volunteers. The total amount of damage, according to the criminal case file, exceeds approximately UAH 10.7 million.
At the request of law enforcement agencies, ARMA carried out a search for the assets of those involved in the criminal proceedings. Employees of ARMA's Department for Finding and Tracing of Financial and Other Assets
- 11 land plots
- 10 luxury cars
- 11 residential and commercial real estate properties
- shares in the authorized capital of enterprises worth over UAH 18 million
- funds in banks — over UAH 22 million and almost $10,000 (equivalent)
- intellectual property rights and other intangible assets
“The search for assets in matters related to the misappropriation of funds under the pretext of assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently an extremely important area of our work. ARMA will continue to actively cooperate with the National Police to ensure economic security and restore justice,” emphasized ARMA Deputy Head Pavlo Velykorechanin.
The investigation is ongoing and is under the procedural control of the Prosecutor General Office. Information about the searched property has already been transferred to law enforcement agencies to decide on the arrest of these assets. At the same time, ARMA employees continue to work to identify the assets of the persons concerned in the case beyond Ukraine.
